A new home to grow into.

A beautiful 10-acre wooded parcel was the setting for this 4-person young family’s new home. The wife and mother took the helm, directing her vision for an artsy modern farmhouse. The homeowners had previously resided in a gambrel home and loved the open, airy feel and volume this geometry afforded. Bisecting gambrels with shed dormers created an interesting juxtaposition of shapes and opportunity for splashes of color.

On the interior, bold use of accent walls and texture draws the eye and creates framed views highlighting the special features of the home that are created by the marriage of form and color.

On the exterior, the Master Suite is tucked under a wrap-around porch to bring down the scale, as well as create an inviting place to sit outdoors.
